Services

Sunday Morning Services

  • 9 a.m. Service: This service is a blend of traditional and contemporary worship in Wesley Hall and is streamed on Facebook. Music is led by the Praise Band.  Communion is offered every Sunday.
  • Children’s Church: This program is available for children ages 4 to Grade 2 during our 9:00 a.m. service. Children begin in Wesley Hall with their parents until it is announced that they may be dismissed for Children’s Church. They are then led to the Fellowship Hall for a time of worship led by our Children’s Ministry Coordinator, Amanda Bazan, our Director of Family Ministries, Sarah Beth Wood, or our Pastor of Missional Discipleship, Stephen Bazan.  During these lessons, we discuss different aspects of worship and explain why we worship this way. This allows them to understand more about our worship service here at First Methodist Church Washington so they can then worship meaningfully with their family and the congregation.
  • Nursery: This is available for infants to 5 years old from 8:45 a.m. until the conclusion of worship on Sunday mornings following the 11:15 am service.
  • Sunday School: The Sunday School classes begin after the early service at 10:15 a.m. and conclude at 11:00 a.m. before the traditional service at 11:15 a.m.
  • 11:15 a.m. Service: This service in the Sanctuary includes music from the Chancel Choir and Communion on the first Sunday of the month.
