Methodist Women

The Methodist Women are a group of laywomen of the church organized for mission.  The circles meet on the first Tuesday of the month (except June, July and August), with fellowship meals in May and December.  This group, open to women in our church, reaches out to local and worldwide missions.  For more information, contact Kay Smith at 252-948-2669.


Agape Circle

Projects:

  • Deliver meals for Food for Folks
  • Provide meals and dessert for Matthew 25
  • Prepare and mail Valentines (over 1,000 Valentines in 2023)
  • Provide gifts at Christmas for Foster Children
  • Provide items for students at WHS
  • Help with Graduation Sunday
  • Pack Backpack Pals bags and deliver them to John Cotton Tayloe weekly
  • Help decorate church at Christmas and Easter
  • Help with Yard Sale
  • Pack snacks monthly for Child Care

Circle of Joy

  • Make and provide Mother’s Journals for Coastal Pregnancy Center
  • Participate in setup, cleanup and sale of items for Fall Fling
  • Deliver meals, send cards, and make phone calls to shut-ins
  • Help with Easter and Christmas decorations
  • Help with Senior Graduation Breakfast

Circle of Kind Blessings

Meets at 12 Noon in Wesley Hall for a meal, prepared by Circle members. We fellowship together and discuss ways to serve God and share His love. 

Projects:

  • Food for Folks – Deliver meals the first Wednesday of each month
  • Sponsor a Salvation Army Angel Child at Christmas
  • Sponsor a Foster Child at Christmas
  • Help decorate the church at Christmas and take down decorations after Christmas
  • Sponsor the Poinsettia Tree Project
  • Help with annual graduating Seniors breakfast
  • Help put greenery on crosses at Easter
  • Help with Church yard sale (setup, cleanup, sales)
  • Promote Fall Fling/Food Fair/Buy items for auctions
  • Provide hygiene products to students at Northside High School
  • Support VBS
  • Mail Christmas cards to shut-ins
  • Participate in “The Church Has Left the Building” mission project
  • Visit our “Special Friends” monthly and take love gift
  • Provide desserts for Matthew 25

Circle of Mary and Martha

  • Coastal Pregnancy Center – Sponsor “Shelter Raised Up” and monthly donations for diapers
  • Send cards and Valentines to special friends of Circle and Circle friends
  • Purchased 2 carts for church use (in 2023)
  • Contribute to breakfast for graduating seniors and families
  • Help with setup and taking down of Easter Church crosses, and purchase of flowers
  • Provide gifts at Christmas for foster children

  • Donate to Bright Futures for hygiene items for Southside High School
  • Provide desserts for Matthew 25
  • Provide a scholarship for a child in Preschool
