FMCW and the Salvation Army are partnering to make Christmas wishes come true for children in our community.  Please select an Angel  from the tree outside Wesley Hall or the Sanctuary, purchase gifts from the child’s wish list, place the items in a plastic bag marked with the child’s number and place them under the tree or deliver them to the Salvation Army on East 7th Street.  Please do not wrap the gifts.  What a great Christmas project for your family to do together!  Contact Shirley Stone, 252-481-2420 for more information.

Dear First Church Family,

Words cannot express the depth of gratitude I feel for the outpouring of love and appreciation I experienced during Pastor Appreciation month.  The cards, the gifts, and the many kind words meant more to me than you can ever know.  I count myself blessed to have the privilege of continuing to serve such wonderful people.  May God bless you richly.

The Channels Missional group will collect jars of peanut butter the third Sunday of each month.  Help us alleviate food insecurities in Beaufort County and provide protein to those in need.  A grocery basket will be stationed outside the restrooms near Wesley Hall to collect the jars.  Please help us, help others.  Matthew 25:35 “For I was hungry and you gave me food . . .”  This will be an ongoing project.  Contact Candy Sherrill if you have questions.

Join us November 8 as we recognize and honor our veterans through a reception for veterans and their families at 10:00 a.m. in the Fellowship Hall.  All are welcome.

The Fall Fling Committee invites all missional organizations in our church to participate in the Fall Fling Marketplace (Friday, November 20).  All proceeds from your table will go directly to your organization.  Contact Shirley Stone at 252-481-2420 by 11/15/26 to reserve your space.

Please pick up a shoebox and a “How to pack a shoebox” brochure from the display in Wesley Hall or outside the Sanctuary.  Fill it with personal care items, small toys, and school supplies.  PRAY for the child who will receive your box, and bring it back to church no later than November 22.  That’s how easy it is to share your love and the good news of Jesus with a child somewhere in this great big world that God created.  God bless you!  Questions? Sign up at the Welcome Center or on the table outside the Sanctuary by Monday, November 9, and join us for dinner at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday, November 11.  The menu includes Sloppy Joes, Buns, Tater Tots, Green Beans, Dessert, and Water and/or Tea.  The cost is $8.00 and children 12 and under eat free.

Please keep the people of Venezuela, the families who have lost loved ones, those who are still missing, and the first responders and relief workers in your prayers.  May God grant comfort to the grieving, protection to those serving, healing to the injured, and strength to all who are enduring this difficult time.  Monetary donations to provide support may be made through the NC Global Methodist Conference using the link below.

First Methodist Church Washington has an online church directory with contact information for our members (address, phone number, email).  If you would like to have your contact information and/or a picture added as a new member, please contact the church office at 252-946-3311 to give your permission.  We will contact our webmaster, Rachel Cessna, and she will enter your information.  After that you would go to the website—fmcwashington.com, click “Explore” then “Online Directory” and enter your email, then create your unique password.  Only members can access this information by following this procedure.  It is not available to the public.
